About Sequoia National Park
Established in 1890, Sequoia National Park is famous for its giant sequoias, including the General Sherman tree -- 275 feet tall and 36 feet in diameter at the base -- the largest tree on earth. The Giant Forest contains five of the ten largest trees in the world. This dramatic landscape testifies to nature's size, beauty and diversity -- including huge mountains, rugged foothills, deep canyons and vast caverns. Sequoia National Park is located in northern California.
About the Sequoia National Park Poster
The Sequoia National Park Poster is 13" x 19" and printed on "Conservation," a 100% recycled, domestically produced paper stock (80 lb.) with soy-based inks. It is an original work by Robert Decker and is based on a photograph taken of the giant sequoias along the Big Trees trail. The posters are designed to be reminiscent of the style from the Works Progress Administration (WPA) era of the 1930s and 1940s. From start to finish, each poster is 100% American Made.

Artist Proofs are a true limited edition and represent the first 25 posters pulled from each print run. They are numbered 1-25, and are dated and signed. Each print features the color bars the pressman uses to make sure each print stays registered and colors stay consistent throughout the print run. Sequoia National Park Artist Proofs are 13" x 20".

About the Artist
Photographer and graphic artist Rob Decker studied photography with Ansel Adams in Yosemite National Park during the summer of 1979 when he was just 19. It was an experience solidified his love of photography and our National Parks. Now he is on a journey to photograph and create iconic WPA-style posters of all 62 major national parks as we celebrate the next 100 years of the National Park Service.
