About Olympic National Park
Established in 1938, Olympic National Park encompasses nearly one million acres. The park protects vast wilderness, thousands of years of human history, and several distinctly different ecosystems, including glacier-capped mountains, old-growth temperate rain forests and untamed rivers. It also protects more than 70 miles of wild coastline with beaches, tide pools, arches and sea stacks. The park is located in the state of Washington.
